Terms of use

Clear terms for a personal reading space.

These terms apply when you use the Librix mobile app and related public pages. By using Librix, you agree to use it lawfully and to keep control of the books and files you add.

Effective: November 1, 2026

What Librix provides

Librix is a personal library, reading-progress tracker and reader for supported files. Features may change as the app develops. Librix is not a book store, publisher, file-hosting service or source of books.

Your books and files

You keep any rights you already have in the books, notes and other content you add. You are responsible for having the right to store and read each file on your device and for complying with applicable copyright and license terms. Do not use Librix to distribute or infringe someone else’s work.

Local profiles, data and backups

Profiles and reading records remain on the device; Librix has no online account server, cloud sync or online password-reset service. The current app uses salted bcrypt password hashes (cost factor 10) after a SHA-256 pre-hash, provides a migration path for legacy local credentials, excludes credentials from new exports, and includes Account → Delete profile. Deletion affects local app data only. Files and older backups saved outside Librix remain your responsibility. These changes are available only in builds containing the update; older installed versions may differ.

Reading counts and availability

Page counts, EPUB reading positions, progress summaries and other calculations are tools to help you track a habit, not authoritative measures of a book. EPUB positions may not correspond to printed pages. The app and reader may not support every file or remain available without interruption.

Third-party services

The in-app browser can visit Google and other websites you choose. Those services are independent of Librix and governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Librix does not endorse or control third-party content, links or services.

Acceptable use and intellectual property

Do not misuse the app, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it to violate another person’s rights. Librix and its branding remain with their respective owner; these terms do not transfer ownership of the app or grant rights beyond ordinary personal use.

No warranty; limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Librix is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that every feature or file will work without error. You remain responsible for keeping separate copies of important files. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the app changes. Continued use after a revised effective date means the revised terms apply to future use, subject to rights under applicable law. For questions, contact the developer through the repository link below; do not post sensitive information in public issues.

Contact through the public repository

The repository is public. Do not include passwords, files or other personal data in an issue.
